SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE: PROJECT MANAGER

· 5 years Federal contract experience is REQUIRED.
· 10 years’ experience in construction project management is REQUIRED.
· US Citizenship required, with background check.
· Background in Electrical and/or Mechanical Construction desired
· Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering desired)
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired
· EM 385-1-1 Training required within probationary period
· USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification required within probationary period
· Ability to lead negotiations and manage high-level meetings and discussions
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload according to schedule
· Experience working effectively with both office teams and field teams
· Proficient with spreadsheets and project management software
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner
· Ability to provide business decision support and participate/lead special projects
· Superior written, oral and digital communication skills

Responsibilities

· Operate as the Primary Point of Contact and the Face of the Project with customers and vendors
· Effectively create and manage construction schedules and communicate when delays occur
· Coordinate meetings between all stakeholders and establish effective relationships
· Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and submittals to support business development
· Review and be conversant with project specs and drawings
· Conduct Site Visits and evaluate site feasibility
· Manage all contract documentation including subcontract agreements, change orders & material purchase orders
· Review and validate outside vendor invoices
· Prepare Schedule of Values. Monitor all project financials, tracking planned cost vs. actual cost
· Review customer billing requirements within the contract and complete
· Assist in creating QC and Safety Plans
