With a commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Steel Fabrication Project Manager to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
The Steel Fabrication Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of steel fabrication projects from contract award through completion. This includes managing budgets, timelines, production schedules, and coordination between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead all aspects of steel fabrication projects, including estimating support, scheduling, procurement, and fabrication oversight.
· Coordinate with engineering, drafting, and production teams to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and field personnel.
· Monitor project costs, track change orders, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
· Review shop drawings and ensure they align with project requirements and standards.
· Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
· Resolve any fabrication or construction issues in a timely and effective manner.
· Conduct regular project status meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
· Ensure all project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural or miscellaneous steel fabrication project management.
· Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, shop drawings, and construction practices.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software and CAD a plus.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
· Knowledge of AISC standards, welding codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
