KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for planning, organising, direct, control and coordinate the construction of building and civil engineering projects, managing both the physical and human resources to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to regulatory and quality standards.
This includes oversight of all project phases, resource and schedule management, stakeholder negotiation, risk mitigation and compliance with legislation and codes throughout the construction process.
DUTIES:
· Lead all stages of project planning, coordination, and delivery for multiple residential and commercial sites, ensuring work is delivered on schedule and within budget.
· Oversee site operations hands-on, supervising and supporting trades and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
· Develop and manage construction project budgets and forecasts, tracking actual expenditure, negotiating supplier and contractor contracts, and implementing cost-control strategies.
· Manage procurement and logistics of materials, equipment and workforce, ensuring timely delivery and distribution to site to prevent delays.
· Secure and manage approvals, permits, and inspections, liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, legislation and company standards.
· Develop detailed construction schedules, establish milestones and coordinate project phases to optimise efficiency and resource allocation.
· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety regulations and identify and resolve noncompliance or quality issues.
· Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders, communicating project updates and addressing issues proactively.
