Organizational Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of Programme Coordinator (Housing and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)), and in coordination with other technical programme specialists, the Construction Project Officer (Engineer) will provide support to the implementation of IOMs efforts to improve living conditions of crisis-affected population across Ukraine. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring of housing and infrastructure projects, repairs and rehabilitations of damaged buildings, in coordination with relevant colleagues, partners and municipalities. Also, when required, they will support activities related to infrastructure repairs and refurbishment of collective centres, in coordination with Camp Management and Camp Coordination (CCCM) unit in addition to following up on the work of contractors/labours.
Responsibilities
The Construction Project Officer (Engineer) will support the implementation of efforts to improve living conditions for crisis-affected populations across Ukraine by monitoring housing and infrastructure projects, including repairs and rehabilitations of damaged buildings. This role also involves supporting infrastructure repairs in collective centers and following up on the work performed by contractors and laborers.
