We are seeking a qualified Construction Quality Assurance Engineer to provide comprehensive QA services for a construction/engineering project. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and identifying corrective actions to maintain compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
This is contigent to the award of the contract.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and provide feedback on the Contractor’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Monitor the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the Contractor’s QMS.
  • Review and provide comments on the Contractor’s RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance.
  • Conduct material inspections and provide acceptance recommendations.
  • Witness and record quality control tests conducted by the Contractor.
  • Maintain a systematic record of all Contractor submittals and design reviews.
  • Identify and report on any construction deficiencies.
  • Record and distribute minutes of meetings (weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc).
  • Review and verify daily and weekly reports submitted by the Contractor.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress and ad-hoc issue reports.
  • Provide reach-back support to NSPA HQ when required.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must be a registered member of the Chamber of Engineers in a NATO member country
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a similar role
  • Must have worked on at least two (2) vertical construction projects of similar scope.
  • Must have a strong understanding of civil infrastructure construction.
  • Knowledgeable in Quality Assurance and ISO 9001 standards, preferred
  • Experience in construction materials, procedures, standards, and laboratory testing supervision.
  • Knowledge of design procedures and standards for design review.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with proficiency level described per STANAG 6001.
    Proficient in engineering and management software such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project.
