Description Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) to support Hana’s construction management services group for a project at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. This is an in-person position working on-site. Position Overview: The QAR ensures all construction work and processes meet established quality standards according to project specifications and contractual requirements. The QAR will coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) Manager and contractor teams to monitor compliance, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate project records. Primary Responsibilities: Ensure that the Definable Feature of Work (DFOW) are installed and constructed according to the plans and specifications of the Designer of Record and contract documents. Monitor and analyze a third-party inspection company’s testing and compliance procedures. Conduct regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors to ensure compliance with contracts and governmental regulations. Document inspection outcomes and maintain a daily log to be input into the document management system. Participate in preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections as part of the three-phase inspection process. Collaborate with the project team to identify non-conforming work and support corrective action measures. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance procedures. Support the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) in managing contract modifications, change orders, performance, and deficiency tracking. Required Qualifications: Personnel shall have significant experience performing field inspections of the full range of construction activities necessary to construct the project and support necessary contract administration tasks. The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) should have significant (i.e., more than 10 years of fieldwork) experience in a wide range of construction activities performing a similar role on similar-sized projects. Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of quality assurance/quality control experience in the engineering/construction industry. Proficient knowledge of Bluebeam software, CADD, and other engineering tools. Able to build an Independent Government Estimate (IGE) using MCACES II. Proficient with Primavera P6 and able to conduct a schedule analysis of a contractor's construction schedule. Familiarity with industry quality standards and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Must be able to walk, stand, and climb for extended periods on uneven terrain and active construction sites. Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for inspections and site activities. Comfortable with wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots. Ability to access confined spaces or elevated areas using ladders or scaffolding when necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Quality Management, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Construction Quality Manager (CQM), OSHA-30 Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, RSMeans Data Skills & Competencies: Attention to detail. Construction document plan reading and interpretation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate and work well in team settings. Strong understanding of statistical process control, process mapping, and root cause analysis. Starting pay = $85,000-$95,000 depending on experience.
