JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator Sub-contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bid proposals, and ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Project management experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Negotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive bidding.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates and related documents for future reference.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information for accurate estimating.
  • Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from contractors or clients regarding estimates.
