We are seeking a full-time Construction and Renovations Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of construction and renovation projects across our Continuing Care Retirement Community, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and common areas. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, with minimal disruption to residents, staff, and daily operations. Responsibilities include managing contractors, collaborating with internal departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding high construction and safety standards in an occupied senior living environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and oversee renovation and construction projects across the campus, including occupied buildings. Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and construction schedules, adjusting as needed to meet deadlines. Source, manage, and evaluate contractors, subcontractors, architects, and vendors to ensure quality and compliance. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, manage change orders, and ensure work meets plans and specifications. Manage project budgets, review bids, negotiate contracts, approve invoices, and track expenditures. Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA standards, fire safety, and healthcare regulations. Coordinate with internal departments and communicate schedules, impacts, and mitigation plans to staff and residents. Oversee project close-out, including inspections, documentation, warranties, and final approvals. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of construction or renovation project management experience, ideally in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or occupied buildings. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and contractors simultaneously. Strong knowledge of construction practices, project scheduling, budgeting, and life-safety regulations. Skilled in coordinating construction in occupied environments with minimal disruption to residents and staff. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project), budgeting tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and able to navigate active construction sites, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
