The Construction division of Northland Properties Corporation is seeking a Safety Advisor to support our expanding Hotel, Restaurant, and Resorts brands in Revelstoke/BC

The Construction Health and Safety Adisor will support the National Health and Safety Manager by actively participating in the planning, organizing, and implementation of diverse health and safety initiatives to reinforce Northland’s health and safety program while performing multiple tasks that improve team members’ health & safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Health and Safety Coordinator.
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, Regulations, and Provincial Safety Standards.
- Possession of a valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) Minimum Level 2 certification.
- Preferred possession of a CEGEP Trade Certificate or equivalent.
- Proficient in setting up new work areas and safety boards.
- Capable of conducting fire extinguisher inspections.
- Equipment & machinery certifications (or willingness to obtain) are desirable.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, is team-oriented, and actively encourages co-workers, acting as an ambassador for the company.
- Ability to effectively communicate, de-escalate conflict, deliver information and instill core safety values internally and with trade contractors.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently and independently, while leading by example.
