CONSTRUCTION SAFETY COORDINATOR

• Compensation: $25-$30/hr, based on experience and certification
  We are seeking a safety-focused Construction Safety Coordinator to support and oversee safety initiatives on a construction expansion job site. This role is essential in promoting safety, ensuring compliance, and protecting workers, equipment, and the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Construction Safety Experience, 3+ years, REQUIRED
• OSHA 500 Construction-Specific, REQUIRED
• OSHA 500s (501, 502, 503, etc.), HUGE PLUS!

• Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliant practices.
• Assist with the development and enforcement of safety plans tailored to each project site.
• Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events; prepare detailed reports and follow-up recommendations.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date safety documentation, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident reports.
• Lead safety orientations for new workers and provide ongoing training for employees and subcontractors.
• Facilitate safety meetings and daily/weekly toolbox talks.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and promote safe work habits on-site.
• Support emergency preparedness initiatives and lead response drills.
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors, foremen, and project managers to maintain a safe and compliant job site.
