Description
The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a major public construction program within the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). This is a high-impact, field-based role where you’ll oversee safety compliance across multiple active construction sites. *Salary Range: $120K/Year-$130K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications Hybrid Schedule: One (1) work-from-home (WFH) day per week Key Responsibilities: Oversee construction safety compliance across multiple job sites Conduct daily safety inspections and prepare detailed reports Monitor contractor adherence to OSHA regulations and safety plans Review key safety documentation (JHA, fall protection, lift plans, etc.) Lead safety discussions during construction meetings and toolbox talks Track and report safety incidents, observations, and corrective actions Support program leadership with safety reporting and analysis Ensure compliance with OCIP requirements and zero-tolerance policies Work across multiple campuses/projects in a fast-paced environment 10+ years of commercial construction experience (U.S.) 5+ years working in California construction environment 2+ years of experience on educational/campus projects Strong background in multi-site construction safety management Experience with demolition, renovation, and new construction Proven ability to manage incident reporting and field safety operations Strong communication skills with field teams and leadership Certifications (Required): One of the following (active & current): CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) SMS (Safety Management Specialist) CSMC (Certified Safety Manager Construction) Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Nice to Have Experience with OCIP programs OSHA 500 or HAZWOPER certification Degree in Construction Management, Safety, or related field Experience with hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, etc.) We offer one of the most competitive benefit packages in the industry.
