QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in an environmental health and safety role
• Current certificates – could include: Construction Safety Officer or NCSO and OFA 2 or 3
• Good knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations, policies, guidelines and standards
• Proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures to ensure that health, safety and environment standards are being met on site
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to influence others, in matters of health, safety and environment
• Must have effective verbal and written communicate skills and be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
• Demonstrated ability to keep detailed and accurate health, safety and environment records
• Can perform physically demanding duties

  Contract length: 4 days
  Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour

• Perform on-site safety supervision.
• Regularly monitor health, safety and environment compliance of workers
• Conduct site specific health, safety and environment orientations for all new site workers and visitors
• Prepare site safety plans, conduct hazard assessments, incident investigations and risk assessments, as required
• Ensure all accidents, incidents and injuries are properly reported to all appropriate parties
• Facilitate and participate in site inspections and implement corrective action as required
• Conduct health, safety and environment meetings
• Maintain and prepare thorough documentation and reports
• Perform other duties as assigned.
