Description

CONSTRUCTION SALES SPECIALIST

The Construction Sales Specialist is responsible for turning warm, referred leads into signed contracts, generating additional sales opportunities, and ensuring customers remain supported while awaiting production. All leads are provided through trusted vendor partners—no cold calling—so your focus is on consultative selling, upselling, and relationship management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Specialist acts as the customer’s primary point of contact from referral through the start of production. This role is supported by a dedicated administrative assistant who travels with you and handles scheduling, paperwork, and follow-up tasks, allowing you to focus on sales, upselling, and customer relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong post-frame construction knowledge is required.
  • 3+ years of construction sales or estimating experience (remodeling/restoration preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in upselling and maximizing revenue per lead.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable managing longer sales/production cycles.
  • Organized and able to direct an assistant’s efforts effectively to maximize efficiency.
  • Knowledge of residential construction methods and materials.
  • Goal-driven, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and job management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to warm/hot referral leads and convert them into signed contracts.
  • Meet homeowners on site to scope repairs, prepare estimates, and present solutions.
  • Write contracts, collect down payments, and explain project timelines clearly.
  • Leverage the support of an assigned administrative assistant to handle scheduling, documentation, and customer communication tasks.
  • Proactively identify and sell additional services, upgrades, or complementary work to increase revenue per lead.
  • Maintain customer confidence while jobs are in backlog, providing updates and answering questions.
  • Track open jobs awaiting production, follow up regularly, and reduce cancellations.
  • Coordinate with schedulers, project managers, and crew leads to ensure smooth hand-offs.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and product knowledge.
