Responsible to - Head of Sales & Marketing
Location - Sheffield, S9 1GD

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 years’ proven sales experience within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of CITB levy, grants, and funding schemes.
  • Demonstrable success in achieving commercial sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers in construction businesses.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to manage a busy pipeline.
  • Knowledge of construction training and qualifications frameworks (NVQs, apprenticeships, etc.) essential.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and reporting tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Functional Skills Level 2 (Maths & English) or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Construction Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving commercial growth by winning new business and expanding employer partnerships within the construction sector. Providing expert advice on industry training solutions and funding schemes, positioning the organisation as a trusted partner for construction employers, ensuring revenue targets and growth objectives are consistently achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce and lead on a commercial sales strategy for construction qualifications, ensuring revenue and growth targets are achieved.
  • Sell accredited training and qualifications directly to employers in the construction sector on a commercial basis.
  • Identify, target, and secure new employer clients through networking, outbound sales activity, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities and manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Provide expert advice to employers on construction training solutions, including knowledge of CITB levy and funding schemes.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform sales approaches and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Represent the company at construction industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to increase visibility and generate new sales.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence updates for the Senior Management Team.
  • Work collaboratively with operations and quality teams to ensure client expectations are met and service delivery aligns with agreed contracts.
