Description
Build the Plan. Drive the Work. Shape What's Next: Scheduler    Construction doesn't happen without a plan — and great plans don't happen without great schedulers. If you're the person in the room who sees the critical path before anyone else draws it, who can read a Gantt chart and a room full of supers with equal confidence, Boyd Jones wants to meet you. We're hiring a Scheduler to support our growing Mission Critical and vertical construction portfolio — an immediate need for someone who's ready to do meaningful work from day one.   What You'll Own This isn't a support role. You'll be embedded with project teams — working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors — translating field reality into schedule clarity. Your work directly shapes how projects are planned, sequenced, and recovered when things shift.   * Build, maintain, and update baseline schedules using P6 or MS Project * Lead weekly schedule reviews; own the look-ahead process with field teams * Track progress, analyze variances, and surface risks before they become delays * Translate complex schedule data into clear reporting for internal and external stakeholders * Support preconstruction, procurement timelines, and critical path analysis * Participate in pull-planning sessions with field leadership   What's In It For You Competitive compensation based on experience Growth: Boyd Jones is investing in its scheduling function, which means upward mobility is real, not aspirational. Work that matters: Mission Critical construction is high-stakes, high-visibility, and technically demanding. You'll work on projects where your schedule directly impacts outcomes — not just timelines.   Who Thrives Here You're analytically sharp and people-smart. You can hold your own in a technical conversation with a project executive and turn around to explain the same thing to a subcontractor in plain language. You work with urgency and precision, and you don't wait to be asked — you see the problem on the horizon and you bring it to the table with a plan.   Strong candidates will have: * 3–7 years of construction experience with real exposure to scheduling or project controls * Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project * Strong communication skills — you know how to present, not just report * Working knowledge of commercial construction means and methods * A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) * Bonus: resource-loaded schedule experience and cash flow/forecast reporting     Why Boyd Jones Boyd Jones is a Nebraska-based general contractor with offices in Omaha and Des Moines — big enough to offer diverse, complex work across commercial, mission critical, and vertical construction, and small enough that your contributions are visible and your voice is heard. We lead with our values: Safety. Partnership. Stewardship. Continuous Improvement. Integrity. That's not wall art — it shapes how we work together. If you're ready to do the best scheduling work of your career on projects that demand it, we'd like to talk.   Apply today or reach out directly to learn more about the role and our team.
