What We're Looking For: Michael Baker International is seeking a Construction Services Intern to support ALCOSAN’s Construction Management Team in the planning, coordination, inspection, and documentation of wastewater infrastructure and treatment plant construction projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in large-scale public infrastructure construction, field inspection, contractor coordination, and project documentation while contributing to projects that protect public health and the environment.   What You'll Do: * Assist Construction Managers and Inspectors with daily field observation of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. * Support documentation efforts including daily reports, field logs, photo documentation, and tracking of construction progress. * Review contractor submittals, schedules, and change order documentation for completeness. * Attend project meetings and assist in preparing meeting minutes and action item tracking. * Help monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and ALCOSAN standards. * Assist with measurement and verification of quantities for pay applications. * Support coordination between engineers, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies. * Perform general administrative and technical tasks as assigned. What You Need to Succeed: * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. * Basic understanding of construction principles, engineering drawings, and specifications. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. * Valid driver’s license  Preferred Qualifications: * Interest in wastewater treatment, public infrastructure, or heavy civil construction. * Familiarity with construction safety standards (OSHA) and field inspection practices. * Experience reading engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Prior internship or field experience in construction or engineering. Compensation: The approximate compensation range for this position is $20 - $25 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
