We are looking for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Understand and implement the company’s Safety Statement on site.
Ensure all HSQE systems and processes are followed by the site team and subcontractors.
Lead by example in promoting a strong health and safety culture.
Participate in the preparation of RAMS with the Site Agent/Project Manager.
Deliver toolbox talks, SPAs, and site inductions, ensuring all staff understand and follow site rules.
Carry out and record regular HSQE inspections (minimum one per month on PowerApps).
Quality
Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Monitor workmanship, address defects promptly, and secure client sign-off once works are complete.
Raise NCRs when necessary to capture and share lessons learned.
Environmental
Ensure Waste Management Permits are in place for all site activities.
Oversee works so that environmental standards are not compromised.
Planning & Coordination
Manage labour, subcontractors, plant, and equipment on site.
Work with the Site Agent/Project Manager on lookahead programmes, ensuring targets are met.
Monitor resources, productivity, and budget outputs to maximise efficiency.
Liaise with stakeholders and support the development of junior staff.
Documentation & Meetings
Ensure all site documentation (RAMS, SPAs, permits, etc.) is in place before works begin.
Keep accurate records including site diaries, labour returns, and plant returns.
Attend internal meetings, providing updates on progress and site issues.
Close out actions from internal and external HSQE inspections.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor productivity, costs, overtime, and material usage to keep the project within budget.
Understand the impact of programme delays or variations on cost and manpower.
Identify and report any changes, delays, or risks to the Site Agent/Project Manager.
People Management
Supervise site operatives and subcontractors, coordinating daily tasks.
Ensure work is delivered on time, to programme, and to the required standard.
Communicate effectively with team members and resolve conflicts or issues quickly.
Maintain a positive, productive site environment.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ relevant construction experience in Ireland or the UK.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to budget.
Completion of the Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Full clean driving licence.
Excellent written and spoken English.
