Description Our client, Keller Contracting in York, PA is currently looking to hire an experienced Construction Superintendent. Key responsibilities include the following: Run the job site day-to-day – manage all phases of construction including scheduling subcontractors, consultants and vendors to meet project deadlines and coordinating materials and equipment delivery to keep work moving efficiently. Maintain quality standards – ensure work meets plans, specs, and codes; complete punch lists and monitor subcontractor performance. Lead safety efforts – enforce OSHA standards, identify hazards, and keep the job site safe for everyone. Stay organized – maintain daily logs, RFIs, ASIs, submittals, and other project records for compliance and future reference. Communicate clearly – serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, clients, and stakeholders; conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and provide regular project updates. Problem-solve in real time – identify conflicts or delays early in construction progress and coordinate solutions with the project team to keep projects on track. Handle project support – submit receipts and manage field purchase orders; assist in project turnover procedures. Requirements Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive experience managing commercial or residential construction projects with a proven track record as a field superintendent. Carpentry background and related field experience. OSHA training courses, First Aid Training, and Lift Certified a plus. Expert multi-tasker with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications with proficiency in scheduling and managing people. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to motivate and manager subcontractors and crews. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. Work Environment Active construction job sites with exposure to weather and noise. Physical work, including walking job sites and lifting materials up to 50 pounds as needed. Travel to local project sites.
