Description
Overview Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Buliding Company is seeking a Construction Superintendent I. The Superintendent I assists the project superintendent in coordinating trade contractors, maintaining high safety standards, and assisting with the quality control process. Responsibilities •Coordinate trade contractors to stay on schedule•Maintain strict accordance with the contract documents•Support all safety efforts in the field, lead safety orientations •Stay informed of all field activities•Monitor actual work to maintain compliance for the work plan•Maintain daily reports and documentation•Enforce safety and quality control policies•Attend and participates in project meetings•Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions etc. by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION •BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management•0-2 years experience in superintendent role on construction projects•Or equivalent combination of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES •Strong technical and communication skills•Excellent organizational skills•Ability to work in a team environment•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Prolog•Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction•Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control•OSHA 30 hour certified Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Wisconsin this ranges from $70,000.00 - 76,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
