POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Construction Superintendent to join our team to lead and oversee a variety of local and provincial construction projects. This role requires a dedicated leader who is equally comfortable managing teams and timelines as they are rolling up their sleeves to keep schedules on track.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8–10 years of relevant construction experience, ideally in ICI base building or real estate
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and in-house trades
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and project specifications
• Experience with scanning, coring, and layout is an asset
• ICI interior fit-up/fixturing experience is a bonus
• Buildertrend software experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• WHMIS, Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, CPR/First Aid
• Basics of Supervision Certification

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site trades and construction processes
• Enforce Health & Safety policies and procedures on site
• Act as a liaison with owners’ representatives, consultants, and authorities
• Prepare production reports and perform daily logs, including photos, via Buildertrend
• Coordinate and schedule activities and project milestones
• Train or arrange training, orientations, JHA’s, and safety reports
• Read and interpret blueprints, OBC and NFPA codes
• Estimate project costs and materials
• Requisition materials, equipment, and supplies
• Coordinate with internal teams including Property Managers and Construction Managers
• Be willing to work on tools as needed to maintain project momentum
