Russo Development is currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to monitor projects from planning to completion. This includes ensuring quality and safety standards on the construction site are met. This position will be based out of one of our development sites in Northern NJ Position Responsibilities: Overall project leadership & field general for all stages of construction. Review all design documents and become proficient in all trade disciplines and requirements to execute the project to a high quality standard Assist project management team in management of the submittals and shop drawing tracking and review process. Know which documentation is critical with respect to long lead procurement and task dependency and ensure field team is getting what they need to hold schedule Generate RFI’s based on field conditions and requests, present these RFI’s to Project Engineer/ Project Manager for processing and assist in management of information necessary to hold schedule on site. Be a resource to guide, motivate, and assist subcontractors to achieve maximum production on site. Prepare Daily Field Reports and take construction project photos and upload to Procore. Prepare agenda for weekly subcontractor meetings. Track and implement a construction schedule that has been prepared in concert with the Project Manager. Prepare a two-week look-ahead schedule for subcontractor / ownership meetings. Monitor site safety daily. Conduct weekly toolbox safety talks and ensure documentation compliance. Coordinate construction activities with other site supers. Manage the daily activities of field laborers / punch list laborers. Inspect the work performed by the subcontractors to ensure and walk town inspectors through the work areas. Coordinate and schedule Building Department trade inspections, build positive relationships and reputation with local inspectors. Document quality control detail in Procore. Manage and facilitate the delivery and staging of building materials for the site. Coordinate underground utilities with site contractor and utility company representatives. Requirements High School or GED education 5+ years of experience working as a Construction Superintendent or related position. Working knowledge of systems such as Procore and Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite Must have experience in Multi-Family or Industrial/Warehouse experience Must have a Procore supervisors certification. Must have a minimum of 30 hours of OSHA training. Must be proficient with the drawings and the details associated with the project at hand. Must exhibit a professional demeanor Proactive self-starter and a team-player, with sense of urgency. Multitasking. Must be available to work weekends.
