Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the daily management, supervision, and coordination of site resources, including subcontractors.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with the company’s Safety Statement and statutory requirements.
Implement and maintain HSQE management systems and site safety procedures.
Supervise health and safety performance of direct staff and subcontractors.
Plan and execute works with a strong focus on safety.
Assist in preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Conduct safety briefings, SPAs, and toolbox talks.
Ensure all personnel are properly inducted and signed onto relevant documentation (RAMS, SPAs, permits, etc.).
Carry out and record monthly HSQE inspections.
Quality Management
Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure compliance.
Monitor works to maintain high standards and rectify defects promptly.
Secure client sign-off upon satisfactory completion of works.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective works to capture lessons learned.
Environmental Management
Ensure all required Waste Management Permits are in place.
Oversee site activities to prevent negative impacts on the environment.
Planning & Coordination
Supervise and allocate labour, subcontractors, plant, and equipment.
Contribute to short-term lookahead programmes and track progress against targets.
Manage resources effectively to optimise productivity and control costs.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Mentor and support team members for career development.
Documentation & ReportingEnsure all required documentation (RAMS, SPAs, permits, etc.) is completed before works commence.
Keep accurate site records including diaries, labour, and plant returns.
Attend site meetings and provide progress reports to the Site Agent/Project Manager.
Close out assigned actions from internal and external HSQE inspections.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor productivity, outputs, and costs to ensure budget compliance.
Identify risks of delays, variations, and overruns, and assess their cost impact.
Minimise overtime, wastage, and inefficiencies on site.
Understand contract budgets and cost-to-completion metrics.
People Management
Lead and coordinate site teams, ensuring tasks are completed according to programme.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Resolve site issues and conflicts quickly to minimise disruption.
Promote a positive and safe work environment.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction supervision on similar projects in Ireland or the UK.
Strong track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Completion of Site Safety Supervisor training (or equivalent).
Excellent knowledge of HSQE practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Full clean driving licence.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Must be legally eligible to work (no sponsorship available).
