Description
Primary Purpose of the Job Responsible, accountable and provide oversight of day-to-day construction/execution of civil activities of department assigned field Projects to ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and QatarEnergy standards & specifications. Oversee and provide guidance/advice to contractor on all civil construction activities to ensure that they are performed as per approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and material requirements. Required Experience and Skills 1. Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years overall experience in supervising offshore projects civil construction of oil and gas projects. 2. Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills. 3. Excellent command of English Language (oral and written) 4. Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness. 5. Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings. 6. Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions. 7. Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce. Educational Qualifications 1. B.Sc. in Civil Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Higher National Diploma (HND) (or) Diploma in Civil Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities of civil projects to ensure compliance with approved standards. Provide guidance to contractors on civil construction activities to meet project requirements.
