      We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Construction Teacher to deliver Level 1 City & Guilds Construction to students in a small Pupil Referral Unit medical provision in Islington, North London.

    QUALIFIED TEACHER STATUS (QTS) OR EQUIVALENT

    • Experience teaching Level 1 City & Guilds Construction
    • Experience working with students with mental health needs, SEN, or in alternative provision
    • A calm, resilient, and supportive approach to teaching

    COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS

    Responsibilities

    THE ROLE

    In this role, you will be teaching Level 1 City & Guilds Construction to KS3/KS4 students aged 11–16 who are unable to attend mainstream school due to medical, mental health, or emotional wellbeing needs.

    This is an outreach-based role, meaning you will deliver lessons within:

    • A small school site
    • A hospital classroom
    • Home or community-based settings

    Many pupils will be working below expected levels, so lessons must be tailored to their individual needs. You will need to be approachable, patient, and able to build positive relationships with students. You will work closely with a wider team of staff and external professionals to support young people with emotional and behavioural challenges.
