Description

The Construction Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects from planning to execution. This role ensures that all designs, construction methods, and materials meet regulatory and quality standards. The Technical Manager provides guidance to project teams, ensures compliance with engineering specifications, and acts as a liaison between design, engineering, and construction teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 8+ years of experience in construction with a strong technical background.
  • Proven experience with structural, civil, architectural, and/or MEP systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction codes, standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO), and best practices.
  • Proficient in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), project management tools, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Review and validate construction drawings, technical specifications, and project designs.
  • Provide technical support and solutions during project planning, execution, and close-out phases.
  • Ensure all construction practices adhere to codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Oversee and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure technical compliance and identify any discrepancies or rework requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments.
  • Support procurement by evaluating and approving materials and subcontractors from a technical standpoint.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, QA/QC logs, and progress tracking.
  • Provide training and mentoring to technical staff and engineers on construction methodologies and standards.
