Your Opportunity As a Construction Coordinator, you will work as a team member on small and large projects under the guidance and supervision of a Project Supervisor/Engineer. The primary responsibilities for this role are varied; however, you will work perform tasks which may include assisting with the plans and designs of roads and structures, monitoring site activities, verifying on-site testing, and contract administration.  Your Key Responsibilities * Uses knowledge of the general concepts of relevant civil engineering elements including the design of roadways, drainage, grading, water and sewer and land development projects. * Assists team in conducting basic engineering calculations * Coordinating daily onsite construction activities including liaising with contractors, design professionals, clients and relevant external parties. * Record and report deviations from contract documents and codes to the Project Manager. Assist with change management documentation as site deviations result in changes and follow through with the responsible parties until resolutions have been met. * Schedule, coordinate and conduct onsite observations and inspections with internal and external parties on a full-time basis. * Prepare documents and maintain file management of project-related information including, but not limited to, correspondence, reports, videos and photos. * Actively participate in the implementation of safety controls, lead safety meetings and actively promote safety and a safe work culture in the workplace. * Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
