OVERVIEW

Momentum Training is expanding its delivery in Sheffield and is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Construction Tutor to teach adult learners working toward their CSCS Labourer Card. You will deliver the Level 1 or Level 2 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification, supporting learners through both theoretical and practical elements of safe working on construction sites.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
  • Ability to educate and inspire students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is an advantage.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple students and their unique learning paths.

Responsibilities
  • Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to develop effective learning strategies.
  • Deliver classroom-based sessions in line with awarding body standards
  • Prepare learners for their CSCS Test and support them in obtaining their CSCS Labourer Card
  • Create engaging lesson plans that encourage student participation and interest in the subject matter.
  • Provide guidance and differentiated support to learners with additional needs
  • Educate students on study skills, time management, and test preparation techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other educators to support students with special educational needs.
