Description Rohr Gasoline Equipment (a division of DHT Group) is looking for Construction Workers in Byron Center, MI. Qualified candidates will be ambitious and conscientious of safe work practices. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn in a niche petroleum business with the goal of being groomed for a position on the service technician side of the business. The ideal candidate will be seeking a long-term position with a desire to grow into leadership roles. Essential Duties of a Construction Worker: Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by taking extra precautions to work with care and consideration Underground Tank Installation Concrete Work Underground Piping Preform general construction activities Perform a variety of tasks such as digging trenches, site layout, underground tank install, etc. Load and unload equipment from trailers and vehicles Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner Set up or inspect equipment prior to operation Become familiar with site plans, machine capabilities and limitations, and with efficient and safe digging procedures Perform minor maintenance on equipment Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation Who We Are: DHT Holdings brings together different organizations with a wide-range of synergies. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full-service repair facilities. Requirements Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read/use a measuring tape and have basic math skill Valid drivers license with a CDL or willing to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire Strong work ethic Willingness to be trained in various tasks Ability to spend several nights a week away from home while on job sites (per diem and own hotel room) Physical Requirements for a Construction Worker: • This job is performed primarily outdoors in extreme environmental conditions • Hard, physical labor and standing on your feet for long hours • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds • Must be able to pass a drug screen Compensation: $20-25/hr depending on qualifications • Employee-Owned Company - Employee Stock • Paid Training Program • Pet Insurance • 401K with Partial Employer Match • Healthcare Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) after 30 days employment • Short-term & Long-term disability • Paid Vacation after 1 year employment.
