Description
Background  Indonesia faces ongoing challenges in STEM literacy, as reflected in PISA 2022 results that rank the country among the lower-performing countries. Although rankings have improved slightly, overall performance remains below the global average, revealing gaps in students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and applied science skills. To address these issues, Hyundai and Save the Children launched the "Hyundai Mobility Solution, EV Bus–Based STEM Learning Project" to offer engaging STEM learning opportunities to students in limited-access schools.  The project will deliver a mobile education initiative using an EV bus to reach schools with limited resources in Jakarta from May 2026 to October 2027. Activities include interactive learning sessions, targeted teacher training, and the provision of essential equipment such as tablet PCs and teaching kits. The program integrates digital resources, including video materials and gamified platforms, with hands-on tools like assembly kits and board games to support diverse learning needs.  Through these integrated efforts, the program aims to promote inclusive access to quality STEM education, enhance teaching practices, and better prepare students for future opportunities. To support this project, we need 1 (one) project consultant to implement project activities. Objectives  The objectives of this activity are:   * Support Program Coordinator in implementing of all activities of Hyundai EV Bus–Based STEM Learning Project Involved in developing the project workplan, working closely with the partners in the targeted school and community, such: children, youth, School Management, local partner, local government, local community, the Youth/Children Forum.  * To organize, mobilize, and facilitate training, workshop, or other events involving those partners; also coordinate with the local government authorities, potentially collaborate with other organizations or institutions, and the project implementing partner.  * Report directly to the Program Coordinator and closely coordinate with other project teams in the Greater Jakarta area as well as with support function teams, such as finance, administration, and supply chain teams.  Scope of Work  Specific responsibilities include: * In coordination with Project Coordinator, Program Manager, and Implementing Partners, ensure that project activities are implemented according to the agreed detailed implementation plan.  * In cooperation with Project Coordinator, and Program Manager to maintain effective relationships with government and non-government stakeholders.  * Regularly collect data according to the project monitoring and evaluation plan.  * In collaboration with Project Coordinator, and Program Manager to ensure that the child safeguarding policy is understood and implemented by all stakeholders.  * Develop monthly basis report and send it to the Project Coordinator, and Program Manager.  * Conduct regular visits to program implementation areas, gather learning and feedback to inform discourse and plans for the project, the local government, and related stakeholders. Deliverables  * Activity report, which may include but not limited to activity TORs, delivery of training, campaign, workshop, FGDs and stakeholder meeting meetings, meeting notes, during the period of contract.  * Power Point Monthly report.  Required Background and Experience, Skills, and Behaviours  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, including social science, environment, natural resources management/sustainability.  • Experience in both private and non-profit sector on circular economy principles and their application across Indonesia will be an advantage.   • Experience of working in partnership with relevant stakeholders.  • Recommended a minimum of 3 years’ experience in of program related in facilitating children or students.   • Experience working with an international NGO or similar organization.  • Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.   • Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian, strong English written and spoken skills.  • Commitment to and understanding of Yayasan Save the Children Indonesia’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Indonesian and English. 
Responsibilities
The consultant will support the Program Coordinator in implementing the EV Bus-Based STEM Learning Project, including developing workplans and facilitating workshops. They are responsible for maintaining stakeholder relationships, collecting M&E data, and producing monthly progress reports.
