Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Anaesthetist The Department of Anaesthesia gained ACSA accreditation in 2021.
From November 2020, Bradford became the site for the West Yorkshire Vascular Service (WYVAS), a single site serving Airedale, Bradford, Calderdale, and Huddersfield. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver direct clinical care across all areas (we cover all surgical specialties with the exception of cardiothoracic, transplant, and neurosurgery), with out-of-hours coverage including obstetrics.
There is a new daycare facility at St Luke’s Hospital to support elective recovery and an opportunity for some anaesthetists to work from this new site.
This post is to provide anaesthetic services for the variety of surgical specialities as outlined in the timetable. Bradford Teaching Hospitals caters for all surgical specialities except major cardiothoracic, neurosurgery and transplant surgery.
The duties of the post may be changed from time to time in the light of changing requirements of the Anaesthetic Service subject to the agreement of the post holder.
The post holder will support the General Anaesthesia services within Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will be based in the Anaesthetics Department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust carrying out general Anaesthetic duties.
