Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Based on analytical objectives from business functional areas (Marketing, Sales, Reservations, Franchise Services, Field Marketing), utilize campaign management, data mining software, and statistical/computational methods to analyze results of direct marketing testing in frequency and non-frequency applications.
  • Build statistical models of customer behavior and business processes and make recommendations for enhancements to the marketing database from an information needs perspective.
  • Prepare presentations to marketing managers based on interpretation of data analysis to report findings and make recommendations based on results.
  • May also develop content for formal Analytical Skills training courses for marketing managers.
  • Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. .
  • Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze data.
  • Compile and analyze information.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Education
Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Quantitative Discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience

  • 4 to 7 years progressive work related experience in relational decision-support databases and consulting in the analytics discipline with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position. Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated quantitative/computational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with statistical techniques for post promotion analysis and response modeling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multivariate techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency developing queries in order to transform data from relational and flat-file database structures.
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical software (SAS) and on-line analytical processing tools.
  • Demonstrated experience programming in a modern programming language. Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of the user.
