We are seeking a Consultant Environmental Scientist to join our Brisbane Assessments and Approvals team, working alongside a talented cohort, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our clients on significant projects across Australia. This role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: Reading and interpreting technical reports to undertake impact assessments on environmental values Collaborating within project teams to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible summaries that meet the needs of clients, government stakeholders, and the public Developing high‑quality deliverables for regulatory assessment and public communication Assisting with the preparation of environmental assessment and approvals documentation, including drafting sections, compiling data and responding to regulator information requests Supporting engagement with clients and stakeholders through the preparation of briefing materials, correspondence and documentation to facilitate approvals processes Your Expertise and Skills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. 2+ years consulting experience in a similar role Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Planning/ Management/ Science/ Engineering or related discipline Relevant demonstrated experience in statutory and environmental planning, environmental management, site management, compliance monitoring / reporting and impact assessment Working knowledge of relevant QLD and Commonwealth environmental legislation, policies and knowledge of standards and guidelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Onterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
