Description

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our multiple Canadian offices.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT WILL LEAD TO SUCCESS

  • Four (4) + years of direct group benefits experience in consulting or underwriting environment is required;
  • Must have and maintain a valid group insurance license – multi-jurisdictional is an asset;
  • French / English bilingualism is required due to the frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills in developing solutions for complex client/business issues;
  • Organization skills and ability to effectively coordinate the delivery of projects and advisory services;
  • Ability to lead projects and client team members;
  • Technical expertise and ability to remain current with industry trends, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and timelines;
  • Computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package.
  • University or College graduate in Financial Services, Mathematics, Actuarial science, or related field, or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Completed Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) would be an asset
  • Commitment to professional development.
