3. Under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator in Florianópolis, and in close coordination with the IOM’s Integration Unit, the consultant will strengthen IOM’s support for the implementation and execution of activities of ongoing projects to strengthen the public policies in São Miguel do Oeste aimed at migrant populations, promoting their protection, autonomy and socio-economic integration in a sustainable way, benefiting the migrant and welcoming community. At the same time, the consultant will strengthen partnerships and capacities of the private sector as a strategic partner in generating opportunities and promoting socio-economic inclusion, creating a collaborative ecosystem that drives local development and values diversity as an engine for innovation. The consultant will develop its activities under the program Porta Aberta, a partnership between IOM and Federation of Industries from the state of Santa Catarina (FIESC).

Responsibilities

The consultant will strengthen public policies and socio-economic integration for migrant populations in São Miguel do Oeste. They will also build partnerships with the private sector to create a collaborative ecosystem for local development and inclusion.
