Description
Company Description Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited is a 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, one of the world's leading global supplier of technology and services, offering end-to-end Engineering, IT and Business Solutions. With over 27,000+ associates, it’s the largest software development center of Bosch, outside Germany, indicating that it is the Technology Powerhouse of Bosch in India with a global footprint and presence in the US, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Job Description Role Overview Bosch is expanding its internal SoC Readiness and Capability-Building Program to strengthen associate expertise in Semiconductor, Embedded, and Connectivity domains. We are looking for a Senior Consultant with deep experience in SoC-level development, testing, and system bring-up—preferably with exposure to Qualcomm or similar semiconductor ecosystems. The consultant will mentor and guide engineers through structured learning, hands-on projects, and technical assessments aligned with industry-level SoC development and validation standards. The role involves both technical mentoring and capability-building, focusing on helping associates gain practical exposure to SoC architecture, firmware integration, debugging, and connectivity stack validation. Key Responsibilities Mentorship & Technical Coaching Conduct structured mentoring sessions on SoC Architecture, Embedded Systems, Firmware, and Connectivity (Bluetooth, WLAN, Modem, GNSS, etc.). Guide associates on system-level problem solving, debugging methodologies, and hardware-software integration. Provide direction on interface bring-up (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, USB, SDIO) and SoC validation workflows. Mentor engineers on working with Qualcomm or similar SoC toolchains, including build systems, logging tools, and diagnostic utilities. Interview Readiness & Evaluation Conduct mock technical interviews simulating semiconductor industry expectations and provide actionable feedback. Coach associates on articulating technical concepts, debugging approaches, and communication clarity during interviews. Evaluate associates’ readiness through structured assessments and identify areas for improvement. Capstone Projects & Hands-on Learning Define and supervise SoC-oriented capstone projects focusing on embedded firmware, connectivity, and peripheral validation. Guide associates on log analysis, debugging, and performance tuning using relevant tools (e.g., QXDM, QCAT, QFIL, QPST, QDSS) or equivalent. Ensure that each project delivers measurable skill growth and technical confidence. Program Coordination & Reporting Collaborate with internal training and engineering teams to align mentoring objectives with project and client needs. Provide periodic progress dashboards, competency matrices, and readiness summaries for management and review. Support the design of structured learning roadmaps mapped to semiconductor skill expectations. Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications 15–20 years of experience in Embedded Systems, SoC Development, Wireless/Connectivity, or System Software domains. Strong proficiency in C/C++/Python, Linux/RTOS, Device Drivers, and Firmware Development. Hands-on expertise in Qualcomm or equivalent SoC environments, including tools such as QXDM, QCAT, QFIL, QPST, and log analysis methods. Experience with system bring-up, interface debugging, and hardware-software co-validation. Proficiency in high-speed digital design, EMI/EMC compliance, FPGA interfaces, power supply design, and signal integrity (preferred). Proven mentoring capability and ability to design and deliver technical learning and readiness programs. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Communication, or Computer Engineering. Prior consulting, mentoring, or training experience in embedded, semiconductor, or connectivity domains. Familiarity with SoC development processes, test automation, and semiconductor validation frameworks. Expected Deliverables Individual competency evaluation reports and personalized development plans. Definition and evaluation of 2–3 SoC-oriented capstone projects. Conduct 2–3 mock interviews per associate with feedback documentation. Weekly mentoring summaries, progress dashboards, and final readiness recommendations.
Responsibilities
The consultant will mentor and guide engineers through structured learning and hands-on projects in SoC architecture and connectivity. Responsibilities include conducting mentoring sessions, evaluating associates' readiness, and supervising capstone projects.
