Description

WHAT IF YOUR CAREER COULD HAVE A LASTING IMPACT ON YOU, AND THE WORLD?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart. We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for Consultants (with 2 to 5 years of professional experience) to join our growing national health and safety consulting team based in Melbourne or Sydney on either a full time basis.
You will work under the mentorship of our industry renowned team leaders, and closely with our clients in Oceania to strategically diagnose health, safety and wellbeing challenges, designing and implementing the right solutions based on better practice and risk-based approaches. A key strength of our team is how we apply our diversity of skillsets and professional backgrounds to build the right solutions for our clients based on their specific needs.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

You will work in a leading national team of multidisciplinary health, safety and wellbeing professionals assisting organisations across a range of industries to transform their approach to health, safety and wellbeing. Your responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the planning and delivery of projects involving physical and psychosocial risk management, strategy, governance, audit and analytical frameworks, culture change and leadership, to help clients succeed and navigate complex operating and regulatory environments.
  • Contributing to a collaborative and high performing team environment underpinned by coaching and development, while applying technical expertise of health, safety and wellbeing to direct project teams on delivery of EY’s health and safety services.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, including providing guidance and coaching to Graduates and Consultants.

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Three to five years of demonstrated experience in health and safety management systems, auditing, risk management, process safety, property risk, dangerous goods, professional services/consulting industry, or equivalent operational health and safety experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • A curious mindset, strong desire to learn, grow and upskill.
  • Genuine interest in health, safety and/or wellbeing.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactive approach to take initiative and identify new opportunities.
  • Experience working well as part of a high-performing team.
  • The ability to travel intra and interstate as required
