We're Hiring | Consultant Gastroenterologist – Dubai, UAE 📍 Location: Dubai, UAE 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver diseases. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, polypectomy, endoscopic hemostasis, biopsy, and other endoscopic procedures as credentialed. Evaluate and manage conditions including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver disorders, pancreatitis, and colorectal diseases. Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and pathology reports to formulate evidence-based treatment plans. Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations. Collaborate closely with General Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Hepatology, Nutrition, and other multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment options, nutrition, and long-term management. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME). Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, residents, and allied healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical governance standards. Qualifications & Requirements MBBS/MD with a postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology (DM, CCT, FRCP, American Board, Canadian Board, Arab Board, or equivalent). Board Certification or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Gastroenterology. Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at the Consultant level. Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant License. Candidates eligible for licensing are also encouraged to apply. Strong expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy and the management of complex gastrointestinal and liver disorders. Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills. Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care. Preferred Candidate Profile PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualified professionals will be given preference. Experience working in internationally accredited hospitals is highly desirable. Candidates with clinical experience in DHA (Dubai), DOH (Abu Dhabi), or MOHAP (Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain) licensed healthcare facilities are highly preferred. GCC experience is an added advantage. Fellowship training or additional expertise in Advanced Endoscopy, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Hepatology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), or Therapeutic Endoscopy is an added advantage. Experience in tertiary care hospitals with advanced endoscopy services is preferred.
