About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Burns to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. This role involves providing advanced surgical care for patients with severe burns, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes through reconstructive and critical care interventions. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complex burn surgeries, including:Skin grafting and tissue reconstructionDebridement and wound managementMicrosurgical techniques for severe burnsPost-burn scar revision and functional restorationLead multidisciplinary teams, including plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical care specialists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.Ensure strict adherence to patient safety protocols, infection control measures, and surgical best practices.Conduct clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education programs within the burns surgery department.Provide long-term rehabilitation strategies for burn patients, including physiotherapy and psychological support.RequirementsMBBS or equivalent medical degreeBoard certification in General Surgery or Burns SurgeryFellowship training in Burns and Reconstructive SurgeryExperience:Minimum 6 years of post-certification experience in a tertiary burns centerExpertise in skin grafting, microsurgery, and critical burn careStrong understanding of wound healing, infection control, and reconstructive techniquesSkills:Leadership and teamworkExcellent communication and decision-makingAbility to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environmentCompensation & BenefitsTax-Free Salary + Performance IncentivesHealthcare Coverage for self & familyRelocation Support (housing & transportation allowances)Professional Development—Access to advanced training & research opportunitiesState-of-the-art Surgical Facilities
