Role Overview A prestigious healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant General Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive surgical expertise, deliver exceptional patient care, and collaborate seamlessly within a culturally diverse environment. Arabic fluency is essential for patient communication and cultural alignment. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures (elective and emergency) Evaluate patients, diagnose surgical conditions, and develop treatment plans Lead preoperative and postoperative care in collaboration with nursing and allied health teams Contribute to surgical audits, quality improvement programs, and clinical governance Provide mentorship to junior surgeons and actively participate in CME initiatives Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with DOH standards Qualifications & Requirements MBBS or equivalent medical degree with completed specialty training in General Surgery Recognized board certification (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent) Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience, including consultant-level responsibility Fluency in Arabic and English Eligible for DOH (Department of Health—Abu Dhabi) Consultant license Preferred Attributes Exceptional surgical judgment and patient-centered approach Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary setting Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Proven experience in women’s health surgical needs is advantageous Salary: 80000 - 90000 AED Per month

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of elective and emergency general surgical procedures while leading preoperative and postoperative patient care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clinical governance, quality improvement, and effective mentorship of junior staff.
