We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Thyroid Surgery to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide expert surgical care for thyroid-related conditions, including cancer treatment, minimally invasive procedures, and endocrine surgery. Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and monitor patients with thyroid disorders, including performing physical exams, reviewing medical history, and ordering diagnostic tests.- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with thyroid conditions.- Perform surgical procedures such as thyroidectomies, lobectomies, and lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer.- Use advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures, to minimize patient discomfort and promote faster recovery.- Collaborate with endocrinologists, radiologists, and pathologists to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.- Stay updated on the latest advancements in thyroid surgery and best practices in the field.- Train and mentor other healthcare professionals, including residents and medical students, on thyroid surgery procedures. Requirements:- Medical degree from an accredited institution.- Board certification in general surgery.- Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery or equivalent subspecialty training in thyroid surgery.- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant general surgeon with a focus on thyroid surgery.- License to practice as a consultant general surgeon in Abu Dhabi.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
