👁️‍🗨️ Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Glaucoma Surgeon to join a leading ophthalmology team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical and clinical expertise in managing glaucoma patients, with a commitment to evidence-based care and multidisciplinary collaboration. 🔍 Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced glaucoma surgeries including trabeculectomy, tube shunt procedures, MIGS, and laser therapies.Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of glaucoma conditions, including primary open-angle, angle-closure, and secondary glaucomas.Provide outpatient and inpatient care, including long-term follow-up and visual rehabilitation.Collaborate with retina, cornea, and general ophthalmology teams for integrated patient care.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities.Contribute to teaching and mentoring junior staff and residents. 🎓 Qualifications & ExperienceMedical degree with specialization in OphthalmologyUK CCT or American Board Certification in OphthalmologyFellowship training in Glaucoma (preferred)Minimum 3–5 years post-specialization experience in glaucoma surgeryArabic-speaking preferred, but open to strong profiles regardless of gender or languageDHA eligibility or licensure preferred 🌟 Desirable AttributesProven surgical outcomes and patient satisfactionExperience in MIGS and advanced imaging modalities (OCT, visual fields)Strong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to continuous professional development
Responsibilities
The Consultant Glaucoma Surgeon will perform advanced glaucoma surgeries and manage a wide spectrum of glaucoma conditions. They will collaborate with other ophthalmology teams and participate in clinical audits and teaching activities.
