The successful applicant will participate in a rota covering the ward, clinics and consults with rotational to the microbiology service for those with suitable experience. The exact mix of roles can have some flexibility depending on interest. There will be a 1 in 6 infectious disease on call and weekend/bank holiday ward round commitment. We are seeking individuals who will bring enthusiasm, teamwork, flexibility and innovation to a growing, rapidly evolving department.
Post-holders would be required to work in close partnership with our allied departments (Infection Sciences, HIV Medicine) and those with academic and educational interests are particularly welcome. There are strong links with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. Recently named the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times (cool, classy and supremely creative), Bristol is a vibrant city with a rich maritime history. Famed for bridges, balloons, boats and Banksy, there are also great schools, theatres, the zoo, a diverse food and drink scene, museums, beautiful parks and stunning architecture.
Somerset, the Southwest coast and Bristol Airport are minutes away and there are fast transport links to Wales and London
