Chapter 2 – A scalable talent solution.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Reproductive Medicine or IVF: Previous experience in reproductive medicine, fertility treatments, or assisted reproductive technologies (ART) is required
  • Surgical Skills: Proficiency in relevant procedures, such as ultrasound-guided egg collection and embryo transfer, is essential.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong clinical expertise in IVF and reproductive medicine
  • Clear experience in audit and/or research in reproductive health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work well within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to clinical detail

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent): Essential
  • Full GMC Registration: Required, including a valid license to practise medicine in the UK
  • MRCOG or Equivalent: Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or an equivalent qualification is essential.

ROLE OVERVIEW

An award-winning fertility clinic is seeking a Consultant in IVF and Reproductive Medicine to join their multidisciplinary clinical team. This is a vital position contributing to patient-centred care, treatment outcomes, and clinical leadership in an environment committed to innovation, research, and excellence in reproductive health.
You will manage your own patient caseload and perform core fertility procedures including consultations, scanning, egg collection and embryo transfer. As part of a highly experienced medical team, you will help drive standards, success rates and clinical governance across the service.

DUTIES AND OBJECTIVES

  • Effective clinical management of patients, working collaboratively with colleagues
  • Ensure the safe and effective care of all patients
  • Deliver the highest standard of care under time pressure
  • Availability for on-call duties, weekend shifts and bank holiday rotations
  • Conduct consultations, scans, egg collections and embryo transfers in line with protocols
  • Participate in rota-based clinical cover to ensure continuity of care
  • Contribute to regular audits and monitoring to maintain high clinical standards
  • Support wider growth plans through excellent outcomes and patient satisfaction
  • Attend clinical meetings and ensure actions are implemented effectively
  • Engage in research, training and continuous professional development
  • Maintain full compliance with regulatory standards including HFEA
  • Support and/or lead patient Open Evenings as required
