The role enhances Specialist Palliative Care and End of Life Care services in Buckinghamshire and education training alongside the 3 current Palliative Medicine Consultants and the well-established Palliative Care Services. The Post holder will be expected to oversee aspects of the Palliative Care services as per their job plan. The 4 Consultants will ultimately rotate through, and lead on, different service areas over fixed periods of time. There are several initiatives in early stages, and the post holder will be encouraged to develop these further alongside the senior clinical and management teams.
The on-call service is shared with our colleagues in East Berkshire, on a 1.8 rota currently. This is currently paid as a supplement of 5%
