About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of infectious diseases, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical outcomes. The role involves managing complex infectious cases, including hospital-acquired infections, emerging infectious diseases, and immunocompromised patients. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage a wide range of infectious diseases in inpatient and outpatient settings Lead the clinical management of complex cases, including sepsis, HIV, tuberculosis, and viral hepatitis Provide expert consultation on hospital-acquired and healthcare-associated infections Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs and infection control policies Collaborate with intensive care, internal medicine, microbiology, and public health teams Participate in outbreak investigation, surveillance, and infection prevention initiatives Oversee isolation protocols and infection control compliance within the hospital Educate and train medical staff on infection prevention and control practices Stay updated with emerging infectious disease trends, guidelines, and research Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and hospital governance activities Requirements Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution Board Certification in Infectious Diseases (mandatory) Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Consultant Infectious Disease specialist Strong expertise in managing complex infectious and communicable diseases Experience in infection control and antimicrobial stewardship programs Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities Experience working in a multicultural healthcare environment Eligibility for UAE medical licensing (MOHAP for Sharjah) What We Offer Competitive tax-free salary package Housing and relocation support (depending on employer) Access to modern hospital facilities and advanced diagnostics Multidisciplinary and collaborative working environment Opportunities for continuous professional development Supportive leadership and structured career growth Salary: 60000 - 75000 AED Per month
