Are you an experienced clinician looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to join a service at a time of exciting change? We are looking for applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Psychotherapists who are committed to delivering patient-focused care and treatment. We are looking for applicants who either have experience in a leadership role with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services or have a good foundation of transferable skills and an interest to develop in this area. We especially welcome applications from candidates with the valuable experience of the diverse social and cultural communities the Trust serves as we are seeking to ensure our psychology staffing has greater diversity and better represents local communities. The successful candidate will be supported to develop their career and flourish as a valued member of the therapies staff group, working closely with the Head of Therapies for CAMHS.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
The Consultant Lead for Psychotherapy role is a newly created post focusing on the development of the existing Psychotherapy offer across CNWL Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and we are looking for well rounded and experienced practitioners to join our organisation. We are looking for a motivated and committed Psychotherapist who is passionate to lead the development of therapy pathways within a highly specialised service to children, young people and their parents/carers/families across 5 London boroughs, comprising service users from diverse backgrounds. The successful postholder will supervise and work closely with Therapy Leads in each of these areas and be responsible for the good clinical governance, quality and appropriateness of the work of psychotherapists in CAMHS including supervision and training. Contributing expert knowledge and consulting on complex cases, the Lead Psychotherapist for CAMHS will also directly contribute to the development of their colleagues. There will be opportunities to lead on trust wide projects and work across a range of specialities and to drive forward and manage relevant service evaluation, time-limited projects and audits as directed by the Head of Therapies
The postholder will need to be a registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with the ACP.
Our Trust is an exciting place to work with a wealth of CPD opportunities available for all our staff. Here at CNWL we encourage our psychological professions staff to pursue leadership opportunities in senior roles and we try to facilitate the development of our psychological professions staff across all areas.
