DESCRIPTION
Leading a team of L&D Operations Trainers, the L&D Consultant, will provide expertise, leadership, support and strategic guidance in the day-to-day operations and planning for Learning & Development of frontline employees, across the region. The role includes developing and implementing strategies to improve the employee experience in safety, quality and performance, in alignment with the Organizational & Learning and Development strategic plan and core values of Purolator
EDUCATION
- Adult Learning & Development diploma or, certificate or degree of three academic years, that demonstrates 5+ years’ ability applying adult learning practices in needs assessments, instructional design, delivery, and evaluative methods
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Proven strengths in having difficult conversations, problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE
- Experience that shows steady progression in Learning & Development and Leading Teams for the last 5+ years in a manufacturing/production/distribution leadership role
- Proven ability to effectively influence all levels at Purolator from Senior Executives to frontline workers Willing to address problems; assume ownership of issues and provide solutions
- Experience in developing, coaching and delivering feedback related to performance Proficiency in creating learning content and driving learning through Learning Management System
- Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, ethics, confidence and a commitment to a team approach
- Must set personal ethical standards at a high level and interact with others at all levels within the organization in a manner that instills similar values
- Evidence of ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- The ability to manage own schedule and work in Terminals, Depots and Retail centres, with required travel of 25% - 50% to locations within region and occasionally, other locations within Canada
- Valid driver’s licence
