ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Consultant for our Managed Services team, who is skilled at providing a high level of service to our clients, enjoys staying engaged and interested in client’s business to deliver value to their GIS investment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in associated business disciplines (Computer Science, Information Technology, Geography, Geospatial Science).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a Managed Services company/role.
  • Preferred experience using geospatial technologies in particular; ArcGIS for Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and other related ArcGIS technologies.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Root cause analysis for system outages or performance issue.
  • Knowledge of server administration, basic networking, system monitoring/logging tools.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and Python programming languages.
  • Knowledge and experience using AWS or Azure is desirable.
  • Knowledge and skills in geodatabases and RDS instances are desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Consultant, Managed Services provides technical level GIS support and training services to clients, ensuring that our contact with clients delivers a user experience consistent with our client experience vision.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand our client’s business needs and specific requirements, and monitor, operate and optimise their GIS Solutions.
  • Help clients create value by identifying, understanding, and articulating solutions for issues by means of relevant technical expertise including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and other related ArcGIS technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients and work together to accomplish their goals by actively contributing to their on-going geospatial understanding, capabilities, and progress, managing their operations to ensure SLAs are adhered.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of the clients’ environment, supported customisations and common issues, ensuring that the documentation is accurate and of a high quality.
  • Support the post incident review process, identifying root causes and fixes/preventions for high priority incidents.
  • Provide rostered on-call support as requested. Work outside normal office hours as needed to complete systems maintenance.
