Description

General Consultant
General Consultants serve as strategic advisors to institutional clients, providing expert guidance across investment strategy, manager selection, and performance monitoring. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, relationship management, and leadership to deliver high-impact consulting services that align with client goals and firm objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage relationships with 8–12 institutional clients, serving as their primary investment advisor.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies tailored to client objectives across asset classes.
  • Conduct manager searches, due diligence, and selection processes.
  • Monitor fund performance and provide actionable insights through regular reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with research teams to identify emerging investment opportunities and contribute to thought leadership.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training and development initiatives.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings, promoting its reputation and capabilities.
  • Participate in firm committees and strategic planning efforts to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in investment consulting or related financial services.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MA/MS, or PhD) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment manager evaluation.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver strategic insights.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
