JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neonatologist to join the Neonatology department of a distinguished medical institution in Dubai. The successful candidate will focus on delivering exceptional medical care to newborns, particularly those in need of intensive care within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Their expertise will be central to ensuring the health and well-being of these vulnerable patients.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with fellowship training in Neonatology
  • Board certification in Neonatology is highly desirable
  • Valid medical license to practice in Dubai, UAE
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a NICU or relevant pediatric setting
  • In-depth knowledge of neonatal care protocols and evidence-based practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team and with families
  • Western-trained education or experience is mandatory
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage complex medical conditions in neonates requiring specialized intervention
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for critically ill newborns
  • Oversee and manage the care of neonates in the NICU, including life-saving interventions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff, pediatricians, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Communicate effectively with families, providing education and updates on their infant’s medical status and treatment plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research in neonatology
  • Stay updated on advancements in neonatal care and apply evidence-based practices
